WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU OPEN YOUR PACKAGE

PRE-INSTALLATION

Upon receiving your package, you may notice short hairs around the weft, known as "beards," which are completely normal.

Due to the wefting process, you might encounter a few loose hairs during your initial brush out and co-wash. This is entirely normal and should significantly decrease after the first few washes. With a consistent haircare routine, you can expect minimal shedding each day. Remember, raw hair improves over time—it thrives with care!

Always wash your hair extensions prior to installation while leaving the zip-ties intact. This will allow you the opportunity to evaluate the bundles. If you detect any abnormalities kindly contact us immediately and we will resolve them accordingly.

INSTALLATION

Use the over and out method when installing your extensions. Although our wefts are custom designed for minimal shedding please refrain from piercing the wefts as this may affect the longevity of your extensions.

Only cut your wefts when absolutely necessary as this may cause excess shedding.

Although not required, you may seal your wefts using a high-quality weft sealant.

WEEKLY MAINTENANCE

We recommend conditioner-only washing (co-washing) three times per week using either Tresemme Moisture Rich Conditioner or Tresemme Keratin Smooth Conditioner. This helps keep your hair moisturized and removes any buildup that could lead to tangling or matting. If your extensions require deep conditioning, we suggest using a rich deep conditioner with smoothing properties to reduce unwanted frizz.

Here are the steps to follow: Before proceeding, please remember not to use shampoo on your hair extensions, as it can strip their natural oils, resulting in dryness and tangling. Instead, opt for co-washing (using conditioner only) to keep the hair clean while maintaining moisture levels.

1. Divide your hair into 7-10 sections before showering or bathing.

2. Use a wide-tooth comb or a wavy hair brush to detangle each section thoroughly, starting from the roots and working towards the tips.

3. Completely saturate your hair with water.

4. Starting from the bottom of your installation, use your fingers to part your hair and gather a 1-inch section, securing the rest of the installation on top of your head.

5. Generously apply conditioner to the 1-inch section and brush through with a Denman brush, starting from the ends and moving up to the roots. Complete two passes with the Denman brush to ensure thorough detangling.

6. Continue this meticulous process throughout your entire installation. By this stage, your hair should be impeccably detangled and exhibit a luxurious slip from the conditioner. Elegantly twist your hair into a top bun or braid, allowing the conditioner to penetrate for 15-20 minutes without massaging to prevent frizz.

8. Rinse your hair thoroughly. To enhance the wave pattern, gently scrunch your hair or set it in rollers. Opt for a cotton hair towel, microfiber towel, or t-shirt to dry your hair, as these materials minimize frizz compared to regular bath towels.

9. If desired, apply a dime-sized amount of smoothing oil or glossing polish to weigh down hair strands and minimize frizz throughout the day. Allow your hair to air dry naturally.

10. Between installations or once a month, indulge your extensions with an intensive hair mask or hot oil treatment to prolong their longevity.

DAILY HAIR CARE

MAINTAIN YOUR HAIR ON THE DAILY

Brush or comb through to style.

APPLY AN ALCOHOL-FREE GLOSSING POLISH OR HAIR SERUM FOR SHINE AND FRIZZ CONTROL AS NEEDED

Avoid excessive product use, as it may lead to stiff hair and potential matting or tangling. When product build-up occurs, it is time for a co-wash!

ALWAYS USE A HEAT PROTECTANT WHEN HEAT STYLING TO PREVENT DAMAGE

Bear in mind that excessive heat styling can alter the original wave pattern and integrity of the hair, akin to your natural hair.

BEFORE BED, GATHER YOUR HAIR INTO A HIGH PONYTAIL OR ROLL IT INTO A BUN TO ENHANCE THE WAVE PATTERN

Secure it with a satin scarf or bonnet to reduce frizz and fly-aways. For bouncy waves, style with flexi-rods. Upon waking, remove the overnight protection and gently comb through starting at the ends and working your way up. Style as desired.
